UEFA Player of the year
The season has begun and the clubs are at the fresh start of a new rout. Players are prepping new skills and looking ahead to impress the world. Following last seasons double effectiveness from players on overall performance likes of Mo Salah, Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo have been shortlisted as top 3 for the UEFA Player of the Year amongst Lionel Messi, Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and others in the top 10.
The world cup star Luka Modric as well as former team mate Cristiano Ronaldo, who now plays for the Seria A Team Juventus after bagging the Champions league with his former team Madrid are the two players from the Spanish side and Mo Salah from the English side. These players are the three man players shortlisted by coaches and journalists across Europe through vote.
Mo Salah through the season had a remarkable performance with a successful debut at Anfield. The Liverpool player amongst other records was named the PFA Player of the year and had a 44 goal strike to his name. Ronaldo scored 27 goals in La Liga and 15 goals in the Champions League.
The Portuguese International was previously crowned, 3 consecutive times as the UEFA man of the year in 4 years.
Modric is welcomed a world cup hero following his attribute and performance to his country in Russia. Mudric earned the FIFA Golden Ball and got bestowed with it.
Likes of City’s midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and Chelsea’s star Eden Hazard, Barcelona’s forward Lionel Messi amongst the rest made the list of top 10.
Young star Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Raphael Varane all French superstars complete the long list.
The women awards will also be juggled among Pernille Harder of Denmark and Wolfsburg, Ada Hegerberg of Norway and Lyon and Amandine Henry of France and Lyon.
Come August 30, the awards will be presented to who benefits it at the Champions League group stage draw ceremony, at Morocco.
