Update on Tottenham and United clash

The Tottenham Hotspurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has called his boys to action as he mentioned the team to be of great play against the United tonight. The premier league game is to hold at the Old Trafford tonight and Mauricio Pochettino would want his boys to set a marker for the rest of the season by winning against United.

Apparently the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ has been destructive to the Spurs as history of Premier League holds Spurs with the highest loss than any other EPL sides. Pochettino has also been beaten on every trip to the stadium following his managerial position of the northern London club.

However Pochettino, would prefer his boys making a difference this time around by winning United, following they’ve not scored a goal against the red devil’s the last 4 times they clashed.

Pochettino said to Sky Sports “It is so important for us because after four years of struggling to compete there – more than compete, to get a good, positive result – it is important to go there on Monday and try to win the game and show us that we can beat Manchester there,” he said in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports.

“It will be tough, of course, because Manchester are a great team with unbelievable players and one of the best managers in the world.

“But is a massive challenge and I said at the beginning of the season that this will be the toughest season after starting my managerial career nine, 10 years ago.

“And I feel it will be a massive challenge as we will face a team that is very good and have unbelievable players and of course, to play at Old Trafford is never easy.”

Apparently it’s established that Tottenham Hotspurs hoodoo is United, having gained 9 points in 26 matches of the premier league era. It’s more reason the Hotspur boss seriously needs a win at the MNF as it won’t just bring the 3 points but also come with an impact on the Spurs league campaign said Pochettino.
“First of all three points and then, of course, to show us that we can change the reality,” said Pochettino, when asked what beating United on Monday would mean to the club.

“Because after four years the reality, that is not perception. But of course it would be fantastic to win there, to feel that emotion at Old Trafford and it would be fantastic for the team.

“But as always we will show them full respect and go there and try and perform in our best way. If we do not perform in our best way, it will be difficult to win because Manchester is a very good team.”

He further added “We have started very well and full credit to the players, they arrived in a very good condition, which is fantastic, and their approach in every single game was very good,” said Pochettino.

“But this is just the beginning, we need to keep going, working hard, thinking we can improve and that is the right mentality to keep going and playing in our best way.”
